Aloke Sardar

Aloke Sardar (b 1959)

My work is my innermost desire, screaming my heart out in every inch of my canvas. Every stroke of my brush, every drop of ink I played with resonate myself, sometimes emotions bathed in colors, sometimes too abstract to condense but always gliding and flying in my art where I worship divine power or limitless sensuality. My passion for painting, to make things come alive which otherwise was senseless rather dead, bleeds even the last drop in the arena of my work. My spiritual rendezvous with God Jagannath and Goddess Kali, Holiness of Ganga, my romanticism, excitement, happiness, agony – every minute or mammoth feelings, come alive in my work reminding myself who am I in spirit and that is what makes me myself, an artist. My versatility ranges from miniature to massive both in paper and canvas using charcoal, acrylic or mixed media.
