S.G.Vasudev(b.1941) received his Diploma in Fine Arts, grom the Government College of Art & Craft,Madras. Trained under the guiding influence of his teacher K.C.S.Paniker, Vasudev then went on to become a Founding Member of the Cholamandal Artists’ Village.
He received the National Award from the Lalit Kala Akademi , The State Academy of Art Award, from the Government of Karnataka & Tamil Nadu.
His works can be found in the permanent collection of The National Gallery of Modern Art, New Delhi; National Art Gallery,Chennai; Salarjung Museum,Hyderabad; Lalit Kala Akademi,New Delhi; State Museum,Bangalore etc.
