About Biplab Dalai

Biplab Dalai is a self-taught artist who could not complete his studies due to financial problems. Early in life, he took up odd jobs, from working as an assistant at a doctor's chamber to selling chicken at local markets. Reading Vincent Van Gogh's autobiography changed his life, and he decided to follow his passion for sketching and painting. His watercolour paintings are known for their bold strokes of blackness, mellowed with a wash technique and occasional splashes of vibrant vermilion.
