About Kishore Pratim Biswas
Kishore Pratim Biswas studied at the Government College of Art & Craft, Kolkata, from where he obtained his BFA in 1996. Primarily starting his career in watercolours, he later shifted to using acrylics, oil and mixed media. He stands on a solid intellectual platform, and his work reflects a streak in which colour is of great importance.
Since 1996, he has held solo exhibitions at the Academy of Fine Arts, Kolkata; the Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi; the Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai; and the National Rail Museum, New Delhi, among others. His group show participation includes those in Dubai, London, Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, New Delhi, etc.
He received the Sunil Das Award from the Government College of Art & Craft in 1995.
