About this work

Balcony is a woodcut print on paper, dated 2019 and sized 90 × 6 cm — as narrow as Tomorrow is a Long Time from the same year, and, with Cactus, one of only two of Chhering Negi's ten works here catalogued as Landscape, Sea and Sky rather than People and Portraits.

Chhering Negi

Chhering Negi is from Kinnaur, a small and picturesque district in Himachal Pradesh. She completed her MFA from Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan, in 2012, and her BFA from the Government College of Art, Chandigarh, in 2010.
