About this work

Banaras Platform No. 9 is worked in mixed media on paper, dated 2010 and sized 76 × 107 cm, matching Banaras in every recorded field except year — the two nine years apart. Its title suggests a railway platform in the city, catalogued under Landscape, Sea and Sky like the artist's other Kashi/Banaras works here.
