About this work

Bisarjan — the Bengali term for the ritual immersion that closes a Durga Puja — is worked in mixed media on paper, dated 2022 and sized 102 × 67 cm, catalogued as Conceptual under Architecture and Cityscapes. It shares its year, medium, material and subject with David Malaker's Goodnight Calcutta-X and forms a pair with Bisarjan-II, made the same year at the same dimensions.
