About this work
Mixed media on paper, made in 1992. Reba Hore's work was rooted in daily life and emotional reflection, worked in a spontaneous, expressionistic hand across watercolour, mixed media, oil, pastel and terracotta over a career that ran alongside her teaching at St John's Diocesan School, Kolkata, from 1951. Abstract figures sits within that loosely handled, expressive practice.
