Subhendu Sarkar is a Kolkata-based artist who received his BFA and MFA degrees from The Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata. A well-travelled artist, Sarkar's mastery and versatility lie in his handling of watercolour with delicate brushwork and controlled strokes, reminiscent of the romanticism of the Bengal School, which was initiated by Abanindranath Tagore.
