About this work
Swept Away is worked in mixed media on canvas, 86 × 74 cm, dated 2018, an abstract landscape matching River Runs Through It and Bedrock from the same year. Veena Advani's mixed-media canvases carry the hand-embroidery technique she developed over a long career in New York fashion into abstract, nature-derived compositions.
Veena Advani
Veena Advani is represented by five works, dated 1997 to 2018. Flower Study (1997) is an acrylic on paper; the four mixed media works are on canvas, among them Bonded (2010) and Bedrock (2018, a 61 cm square).
