Debdutta Banerjee's amour with art had begun right from his childhood, which intensified into a burning passion during his years in Jadavpur University where he enjoyed his time doodling and painting murals on walls of the institution. He draws his inspiration from literature, photography, and films and attempts to give life to his imaginations by merging figurative language with that of his impression of the natural world.
He was a part of the Kolkata International Performance Art Festival, participated in Kochi Muziris Biennale in 2015, and has worked with independent street artists and performers in Delhi and Kolkata.
