Everything the gallery holds, in one place: paintings, works on paper, sculpture and prints by 116 artists. The range runs from the Bengal school and the Indian modernists to painters working in Kolkata now. Browse it whole, or take one of the seven cuts below. Every work carries its dimensions, its medium and a certificate.

Catalogues and monographs sold alongside the paintings and prints: one on an individual artist, one on Bengal's wider art history. Two titles are listed so far, each carrying its author, publisher, year and ISBN in the catalogue. A small shelf, added to as further titles become available for those who want to read before or after buying a work.

A curated cut rather than a price band: 97 works the gallery picks out for a first purchase, by 26 artists, most under two lakh. Watercolour, ink, charcoal and works on paper carry the group, and every one of them is an original with the same certificate as anything else here.

The painters who shaped modern Indian art and the Bengal school that preceded them. Oil and tempera alongside the print media several of them worked in seriously — etching, serigraph, pen and ink. Prices run from ten thousand rupees to twenty-four lakh, so the group holds a first purchase and a considered one.

The widest group in the gallery and the most experimental: 166 works by 42 artists in materials that sit outside the usual list. Stitch on cloth, woodcut, terracotta, coffee wash on handmade paper, dry pastel, pen and brush. If you want to see what is being tried in Kolkata right now, start here.

A small group of printed and hand-painted editions: woodcut, print, and Pichhwai in natural pigment on cloth. Editions state their size and number where the gallery holds it. Prices start at two thousand rupees, which makes this the most direct way into the collection.

Artists working now, most of them in and around Kolkata. Oil and acrylic on canvas dominate, with charcoal, gouache and tempera running through the group, and a handful of works in fibre. This is the part of the gallery that changes most often, and where a commission usually begins.

Work in three dimensions from seven sculptors: bronze, terracotta, wood, metal, and combinations of them. Depth is recorded alongside height and width as well, so a piece's full footprint is clear before you buy. This is the smallest group in the gallery by sculptor count and the most varied by material.
