Ganapati Hedge (b 1974)
Ganapati Hedge obtained a Diploma in Art from the Ken School of Art,Bachelor of Art from Karnataka University & Master's in Fine Arts from Bengaluru Open University. In his bid to connect with nature, Ganapati juxtaposes the behavioural aspects of human beings with animal postures and characteristics. With Nature as his muse, Ganapati is known for the incandescence that marks most of his work. His paintings burst with foliage,formed by a playful juxtaposition of elements to create a larger narrative.
Throughout his career,Hedge received many awards, including the 52nd National Award from the Lalit Kala Akademi & Camlin National Award from the Camlin Art Foundation.
