Born in 1953,Kolkata, Graduated from Govt. College of Art and Craft, Calcutta. In 1984, he became the member of the Society of Contemporary Artists, Calcutta. Few of his Solo exhibitions: 2003, Art World, Chennai; 1999 Birla Academy of Art & Culture; 1999 Admit one Gallery, New York. He also participated in several Group exhibitions: 1989 Jehangir Art Gallery, Mumbai etc.He received several Awards such as National Award, Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi in 1986; State Govt. Award, Calcutta,1986 etc
