Sekhar Roy (b 1973)
Sekhor Roy’s early life remained muddled with hardships but his intense desire for spontaneous creativity drove him to pursue the path of fine arts. Under the mentorship by his guru Gopal Sanyal, he did eight solo exhibitions, participated in various group shows and camps. He is very much influenced by Indian mythology, especially the themes of Krishna and His surroundings. He finds joy in depicting the Rasa of different postures of the spiritual characters of Mahabharata - a visual narrative with a perfect combination of love, passion and thoughtful mind.
